Happy Birthday Luke....a.k.a - Little Daddy, Jammos, Lukie Pookie, Mans, Sons! We had a blast today for your birthday!
We started the day with your normal routine. Daddy got up with you at 6 am, fed you your bottle (by the way these are gone as of tomorrow, but you only get it in the morning and sippy cups the rest of the day). After your milk, you had your favorite breakfast "waffles with strawberry jam and syrup". Some playtime and shaking the new gate that blocks you from one side of the house, you were ready for a nap!
Mommy and Daddy took ourselves outside to conquer you and your brother's new present! The Almighty, Gigantic Inflatable Waterslide. Your brother paid 200.00 and you paid some with your birthday money from Grandma, Papa and Grandma Karan! Daddy had to leave for work (he could not get the day off because two other people in his crew had training and he had to cover), so Mommy some how figured out the rest!
You woke up so happy from your nap, had some lunch (chicken and cheerios), and Mommy whisked you off for some quick one year old birthday pictures!
You had fun crawling around the studio and liked to pound on the wall! We have began to see a little aggressive side in you over the past month or so....

I must say, you are one handsome little man at one year of age! I could just smooch all over that little face.
Here you are with "dino" who you sleep with at naps and bedtime. You usually will grab "dino" and immediately put your thumb in your little mouth. It is really cute, however do not know if you will be doing this still at age 6!

And one more where you are sitting so nicely....

The fun began when you got your birthday cake.....

At first you took it pretty easy, exploring the taste on your pallette....

And then to heck with it, this stuff is good....

After pictures, we headed home for a nap. Brother came home from school and was shocked to see your and his present in the backyard.....soooo, we let him go on it first! Before we knew it there were 15 million neighbor kids over and it became pretty hectic. Then the TRAGEDY happened....A BIG HOLE at the bottom of the side along the seam. Let's just say, Mommy was a little upset (seeing money go down the drain) after one hour of use. So, she sent home all of the neighborhood kids and called the company (who will send a new one out in July...what July....this is June). They did tell Mommy to sew up the whole with fishing wire and spray glue. Sooooo, after your nap, we headed to Ranch and Home and JoAnn's fabric for our supplies.
On a side note, we are getting a FENCE, even if we have to buy it on a loan (Sorry Dave Ramsey). We "need" to force the neighborhood kids to knock on the front door and not walk around the side of our house.
Moving on......your first home birthday party began at our house with your Grammy, Papa, and Grandma Karan!
Waiting for the the favorite spoilers to arrive....

Unwrapping one of your gifts from Grandma Karan...

Not knowing if the paper is the present....because it sure is fun!

Realizing this car is much better than the paper.....

And happy with Grandma Karan!!

Eating dinner before going sliding....

Still hanging out....

Ready to get out there and have some fun....

Trying to tell Daddy to stop taking pictures and let you in that water!
You love the water by the way.

And here it is the MONSTER waterslide!
Notice your fan section to the side...Papa and Grandma Karan....

You loved playing with the water spray guns...

Trying to catch the water some more....

Grammy giving you a helping hand.....
AND the best picture for last....
My little man.....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
LOVE,
DADDY, MOMMY, AND BROTHER (brabra)
More partying to come this Saturday!
