Almost 6 years (dating), almost 3 married.

A couple of days....he could not resist me...ha!

I am 29. He is 34

His...they live closer

What is the hardest thing about your relationship?
Watching him put on a bullet proof vest to go to work and then hear people talk crap about cops!

Different types of smart....I am better with the books, he is better at street smarts (I have this as well...but he is much better)

Where do you eat out most as a couple?
Hmmm, with Luke rarely anywhere, but prior would have to be PF Changs and Bonefish. They knew us by name....oops!

Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple?
Jamaica

Who has the worst temper?
Me. Chris is pretty laid back

Who does the cooking?
Me, actually I am working late and cooked dinner before leaving for work

My nickname is OCD!

Now a days, Chris....it used to be me, but God has worked tremendously in this area of my life.

Neither

Depends on the shift.

Some times this is a toss up....Chris eats more meals than me.

Chris....he says I drive him crazy....been pulled over a couple of times in my lifetime!!

Zach got a new bed from Grandma and Papa. It is a queen sized bed, so we moved it against the opposite wall where his twin bed used to be, changed the pictures/posters around, purchased new bedding, and viola....the finished product! Zach was pretty jealous when we were decorating little Luke's room, so he is pretty stoked over his new pad!!

Desk area.....his room could have been built with two large closets, so we took one out, knowing we would use it for a desk!!

Zach's rug in his room.....we still need to purchase a bed skirt for his bed.....

Valentines....

Well, the Valentines Theme is over....and so is my WONDERFUL night with my husband.....(boo hoo). Chris started the night by cooking us Salmon and wild rice. Grandma Karan came over to watch our little ones and Chris headed us in the direction of my surprise.

There is a new little wine bar in Kennewick (opened one week ago) called AVA.

If you live in the area, you MUST check it out!! It is in the new buildings on 395 across from Canyon Lakes. Anyway, it is so romantic inside with HUGE pictures from all over the world. Also, they sell the wine at retail price, instead of restaurant price, so it is a great deal too!

Anyway, we went inside and my hubby had brought my favorite red roses earlier in the day, so they were waiting for me! After enjoying live music and a bottle of wine.....we met our friends at Roxy.....we enjoyed talking with Kel and Mike....and then headed home to relieve Grandma Karan of her boy watching duties!!

Overall, it was a wonderful evening....thank you honey for making it sooo special!

Day with Daddy

So I love this picture for two reasons:

1. I looooove when kiddos sleep with their booties in the air. I not only think it is hilarious, but it makes you just want to "squeeze the tooshy" as we call it in our house!

AND

2. (because....), look closely and you will see Luke is in his Seahawks jersey (it is still too big for him), the decorative blanket that goes on the chair in his room (not his napping blanket), one sock on, one sock off (not important to daddy), no pants (not important to daddy....he would say "it was warm in the house").

Anyway, gotta love daddy days! I am sure that Luke will love daddy days when he is older because there are a lot more rules when mommy is around!!

I have to give a shout out to my SIL, Jenn who I stole this idea from ....the songs playing on my blog are some of my favorite Love Songs! Some may not seem to fit with love, however they hold memories true to my heart...

My boys are sooooo special to me!

"I knew I loved you before I met you" - This song is so special to me because when I got pregnant with Zach, I thought my life was over...a teenage mom.....what would I amount to in life??? I remember explicitly, my dad saying, "Snap out of it...your life is not over....it will be a harder road, but you will do it". After I accepted the fact that I was going to be a mother, an overwhelming love poured over me and this song "I knew I loved you before I met you" was the words of how I feel about Zach and now Luke!!

It brings tears to my eyes that I can say I have amounted to not just something, but to a Jesus loving, great wife and mother, excellent counselor, good friend...and so on! I have people calling me to enlist in their agencies for private practice and I am still one month shy of getting my license....boy, all I can say is God is Good!! Believe it....I do not deserve the life I have, and I would not Without Him above!

**I am soooo blessed to have a great marriage, sure we have our ups and downs, our frustrating moments, our "I could hurt you I am so mad" thoughts, but overall, we were brought together by God and He is showering our marriage with blessings!

Whitney Houston ~ My family can tell you that I was a HUGE Whitney fan! In fact we had two white cats when I was growing up ~ One was named Whitney...when she died we got a male kitty and his name was Houston!!

Luke has RSV and therefore our home is now a compound! Daycare is the culprit....I keep telling myself that it will be now or when he is in preschool or Kindergarten. This is the only way that I can stay sane since he gets sick every time he goes. We end up keeping him out for two weeks, he goes back for two days and then gets sick again, just to be out for two more weeks.....ugh, what a wicked cycle. Well at least we have great jobs that work with our schedules.

Luke is feeling better, but we cannot wait until he is not contagious so we can leave the house!!

Love my Brother!!

Luke looooves his brother! When he is super grumpy, we can put him by his big brother, Zach and he has a blast....Siblings are great! I miss mine really bad these days. I think about them all of the time and become sad that we are not closer in proximity. I wish we could raise our children together. My niece is having a birthday party this April in California. Chris and I are paying off of all debt, even the cars!! We are doing a Dave Ramsey group (he is my new addiction)....so I am not spending any extra money these days. I am struggling because I want to be in California so bad for her party.......we will see I go back and forth with my decision....We are definitely going in August to Cleveland....NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!
