SOOOO, Luke has been so sick the past few days. It started with him only sleeping 30 minutes at daycare on Tuesday. People who know me, know my frustrations with the daycare setting. Our poor little man goes to daycare two times per week (Tues and Wed). He notoriously gets ill on Tuesday and is out by Wednesday. It started months ago with congestion, to diarrhea, to RSV, to diarrhea, to FULL BLOWN WHO KNOWS WHAT TO CALL IT SICK!
Luke had a 100.6 temp on Wed, so I called Grandma Karan to the rescue until Chris could watch him around 11:00am. His temp spiked to 102.2 when Chris took it at 6pm....I was working, in between clients, and got his message, phoned the doctor, who gave explicit instructions on what to do and to come in the next day if it did not break or went higher. Well that night was a whirlwind of waking a sleeping, feverish baby to give medicine every 4 hours! Needless to say, our little mans did not go back to sleep very easily. The next day, he was doing better with the fever staying between 99-101. I went to the library because I had a TON of paperwork to do! I came home and Luke was sleeping peacefully. When he woke from his nap, his fever had shot to 102.7!! This was just too much for me. The doctor had us come in right away because of his rapid breathing. We went in.....to walk out with Luke being diagnosed with who knows what, congestion in his lungs, fever, VERY congested nose, and lathargic. SOOO he is on antibiotics, nebulizer (Albuterol) treatments, tylenol and IBprofen intervals!
We looked at each other and said, "Better get a schedule to write this all down".....I feel like I need a nursing Medical Administering Record!!
Anyway, today Luke is feeling about 50 percent better. He now has diarrhea from the side effects of the albuterol, so we added this to the list, but overall he is on his way to a clean bill of health!
KEEP LUKE IN YOUR PRAYERS!!

Lil Luke, you have certainly had a rough time since your birth; however, you have brought such happiness to those who know and love you! When you smile, you light up the room with joy! Gramma misses you, and always know that you are in my prayers.
