Please pray for our dear friend's Hailey and Jerritt (and their family). Below is their post:
"This past weekend and week has been bitter sweet for our family. Tatum needed heart surgery, which was done and successful on friday. We feel so lucky to have had both sets of parents (Tatum's grandparents) with us. However, we have experienced a family tragedy in the mean time. Jerritt's father paased away unexpectedly on Easter sunday night. We have all been in quite a shock since.Due to the nature of the situation, Tatum and I were able to come home from Seattle. She is doing well from a surgical standpoint. We will be watching her closely medically. Her blood pressure is still not acceptable (on the high side) but with medicine and time we should be on the right track. We will be visiting doctors here in our community frequently. Please keep us in your prayers (especially Jerritt and his mother and brothers).Thank You all!!"

Soooo sad.....but also soooo glad!

I was talking to Chris last night and feeling oh so sentimental.......when I became sad talking about only having 10ish years with my little Zach before he runs off, finds a girl, and becomes a man (who does not need his mommy anymore). I miss this little man so bad. He has grown up so much and is too funny. I spent last night watching him play baseball, all grown up like! He makes me so proud and I am so blessed to have him in my life!!
Thank you Jesus for blessing me with this son..........

Easter....He has Risen
Easter is such a great time for me, it ranks right up there with Christmas! Easter bunny and presents, you might ask.....NOPE!! It is becuase they both celebrate Jesus. Christmas celebrates the birth of my personal Lord and Savior and Easter celebrates that He died for our sins and rose from the dead. Within the past year or two, my personal relationship with God has surpassed my expectations. In the past, I wondered what I could do to be OBEDIENT to God and felt GUILTY when I was not. Today, (even though I make plenty of mistakes and sin daily), I am in AWE of the works that He completes in my life. I am blessed everyday, even when surrounded by incredible pain. I love Jesus and thank You Jesus for washing away my sins....
Luke playing in the nursery! He has become quite disruptive in service, so we have begun taking him to the nursery. They post your number if you need to come tend to your child.....has not happened yet, but believe me our eyes are glued to it when a new number flashes!!
Funniest picture EVER! I packed the diaper bag before Luke laid down for his morning nap. I did not want to wake him, so all morning I kept reminding myself to get an EXTRA pair of pants (in case of an accident). On our way to church, I remembered that I had FORGOT to pack them, but oh well, he rarely needs extra clothes anymore.....
Easter toy...
Catching a ride.....
Easter dinner was at our house and we were soooo lucky to have family with us, including Grandma and Grandpa, Grandma Karan, Aunt Joy and Uncle Gordon, Aunt Jan and cousin Cheyenne, Great grandma Rose and Great grandpa Joe.....
I did not snap too many pictures, but did get quite a bit of video. It appears that it is one or the other with me.....why cannot I figure out how to do both at the same event??
Here is Chris with Luke before church.....speaking of church, great sermon this week Pastor Darrel.....loved the music as well. Tears streamed down my face numerous times. The Holy Spirit was in me and sooooo powerful in the sanctuary!!
We went to pick him up and he was having a blast in this "castle"....hmmm it was awful confining, maybe we should get this for home??
To Walmart we went and out of the car seat with a huge puddle in his pants.....Chris took him to the changing station and they came out like this
LOOK CLOSELY and you will find a shirt being used as SHORTS...what a clever Hubby I have!! Guess I could have purchased a pair of pants at Wal-Mart, but what the heck, this was too cute....
We had honey ham, au gratin potatoes, asparagus, salad, rolls, and chocolate cake for dessert......mmm....mmm...GOOD!!

Sunny Cally!!
We went to California last week to celebrate my niece's 1st birthday....Julianne! We had a blast getting to celebrate lots of birthdays, including my sister Tami, son Zachary, brother Shaun, and Julianne! We arrived on Wednesday, spent time with family and kicked back and relaxed. It did not take long for the parties to begin! We celebrated Shaun's at Carole and Darrel Howard's house (Shaun's in laws) with carne asada and Champagne cake....can you say YUMMY :)
Friday, we had a combined party at my sister Tami's house and again had Champagne cake. This is something that we had every year for birthdays (with the exception of mine, because I liked ice cream cake / chocolate / mint n chip).
Saturday, we went to Julianne's BIG #1 birthday party and Jason and Tonya's house (Shaun's in laws). They have a fabulous backyard and the kids loved it!!

Julianne was not too happy with the cake process at first! I think that this is the first time I have seen her cry in her lifetime.....(it's a running joke in our family that THEY got the PERFECT baby....and WE....well nevermind)
