I have the best girlfriend's in the world!! It always amazes me that of the 6 of us, 5 all went to High School together and are still friends.....We make an effort to get together frequently, even if it is only for coffee sometimes (we are getting older and lamer sometimes)! Anyway, I love my girls and treasure our friendship!

Wow, sometimes I think it would be nice to live somewhere other than the Tri Cities....but then I am reminded that I have my mom, dad, Chris's mother, aunt, grandparents, cousins, and my best friends...YEP, you guessed it all in the same town. The only thing missing for me in the Tri Cities is my wonderful brother, sister in law, sister, brother in law, and of course the most missed is Ty, MaKayla, and Julianne. I love that Zach has Chris's side of the family for some cousins, but I would love to have them here with us....Check out how cute they are!!

Yeah....Harper is Healed

As you see, the only "pink" thing on my "boys" blog is the button, praying for Harper....Please, please, please make time to read her blog and say a prayer! The Lord has healed her body and she is eating today!! What, Eating, Yep Eating!! Wow, praise God!

Luke Dedication!!

Today was a great day! Luke was dedicated at our church....What this means is that the Pastor of our church prayed for Luke, our family, extended family, and so on to raise Luke with Godly values and morals and to lead by example. We strive to do this with our children and are a working progress towards this goal.

It was such a great experience as we joined Luke on stage, Daddy, Mommy, Big Brother, Papa, Grandma Karan, Grandpa Joe and Grandma Rose, Aunt Jan and Cousin Cheyenne. The only sad part was that Grandma Beverly was ill and could not make it. Also sad, Aunt Joy and Uncle Gordon could not come......but we were lucky enough to get it all on video from the nice lady behind us who taped it on our camera!

We had everyone over tonight for a relaxed dinner and celebrated this wonderful day! Chris and I feel blessed to raise our boys knowing Jesus!

Blogging....

I never knew that blogging would bring me to so many people that needed prayer! Ever since I became a part of the support group at my work as well as working in the NICU, I have been drawn to parents who are having difficulties with the loss of their child or near loss....

Please, Please, Please.....find time to select the "buttons" (blogging term) to the right, for Harper and Brayden. These are two babies fighting for their life right now and they need God's hand to continue to touch them and heal their bodies.

Thankful!!

So much to be thankful for.......This morning was great as I was able to have coffee with my great friend, Cassie and her daughter Kearsten. We became friends at work, but much closer when we had our children 2.5 weeks apart. (Kel if you are reading this it sooooo reminded me of you and I with the Zach and Jaz).....

Anyway, we caught up on lots, but the coolest part for me was that we are able to talk openly about our relationship with God! This is such a blessing for me and it shows me perspective from a friend as well as through a friend who has a personal belief that aligns with mine.

On another note, I have been following the blog "Praying for Harper".....Yesterday at work (I work as a Social Worker in the NICU), I asked, "What is ECMO?" (something that Harper may need). The neonatologist grimaced and said sternly "Why who needs ECMO?" I knew this was not a good sign and I became overwhelmingly sad for these parents. Well, today I read her blog and Harper has been weaned from 100% oxygen to 80% and things are looking better. Is she out of the clear? Heck no, but keep the prayers coming because He is working Miracles with that Baby Harper!!

It is always amazing to me that technology is so advanced and cannot imagine what it will do in the future for us. Sometimes this is used for damaging things to our families....however God works through the internet as well and He is Almighty!

Please tonight, if you pray add baby girl Harper to yours....she is struggling for her life at this time and her parents and loved ones are very frightened to say the least.

Lord, please cradle baby Harper in your hands and heal her broken body, give peace to her parents and the people that already love her so much. Give them the support they need and the strength to walk through this, whatever the outcome. You are the ultimate Healer and have done such marvelous works and we thank you for that! Thank you for your protection.
