What are Flies Good For Anyway???

So our little man has been EXTREMELY fussy for days straight! The funny part (if you can find one) is that we went out with some great friends, Brent and Jodi last weekend who have their hands full with a 4 year old, wild child, AND 2 year old TWINS! We were talking about our little guy and his new screaming idea when he wants something. They informed us, "just wait til he gets you to turn on each other". We blew them off......we made it through colic and reflux with NO SLEEP, we can deal with the screaming! Well, it happened, last night Luke was in rare form, screaming while being held, put down, laying down, standing up, outside, inside....You Name It, He Screamed! After many attempts of trying to put him down, he finally passed out! Thank you God from the Almighty Heavens!

Buuuuuttttt, it was not over! I think my hubby and I were on edge still and it went something like this:

Earlier in the night

Me: Can you start the lasagna, it's in the fridge, and I wrote the directions on the foil (so he could get it going if I was at work...pretty smart eh!!)

Hubby: Sure, babe

Post Luke drama
Me: Why is the foil off of the lasagna, geez I wrote the directions on the foil, AND it clearly states, "take foil off for only the LAST 10 MINUTES!!"

Hubby: Oh....c'mon it's fine

Lasagna out of the oven....

Me: Is it even hot?

Hubby: Tastes good to me

Me: The middle is still cold

Hubby: If you want to complain, eat a sandwich and leave me alone!!

Me: Silence (fuming inside)

Hubby: Silence (probably thinking unkind thoughts about ME)

The Rest of the Night

Me: Stubborn, no talking, bed, no talking

Hubby: Stubborn, no talking, bed, no talking

Next Morning

Me: Hug, I am sorry

Hubby: Hug, I am sorry

Me and Hubby: Guess Brent and Jodi were right!!

So What are Flies Good for Anyway????

KEEPING SUPER, DUPER, FUSSY BABY BOYS HAPPY!!!

I Woke Up and It Came True!!

So let's be honest.....I booked this trip before I went to bed, but I did dream about it last night! I serioulsy have had an awful time the past month at work with some very emotional cases. I would be charting about them or being blind sided by another HUGE obstacle and find my little mind wandering to a very safe and stress free place. As a therapist, we study 'visual imagery', basically take yourself to a 'better' place using your 5 senses to alleviate anxiety. I think I have done so much studying about mental health that my mind automatically uses these techniques that I teach to clients.

With all that being said, this beach scene was only to live in my itsy, bitsy head.........UNTIL I stumbled upon 'hot vacation deals' and found this amazing resort! This is the time to go to Mexico I tell you! The whole swine flu has completely depleted the Mexican tourist economy. We found airfare (from my small hometown), all inclusive beach front,5 star *****' hotel (this is important to me)for the price it would normally take to just fly to Mexico! And even better, we do not have to pay extra for not only the 1st, but the 2nd bag taken per passenger.....SO I CAN PACK AS MUCH AS I WANT and not have to keep putting my stinkin' suitcase on the scale to see if I am over 50 lbs!!

I am soooo sad to leave my little boys, but sooooo happy they are NOT coming. Thank you Grandmas for watching them! Sorry, Grandma Karan if you are reading this before Chris talked to you.....he was supposed to last night and I do not know if it happened :)

So, I thought I would show you all of the places that I will laying at lounging, sipping my margarita, and maybe snoozing to the sounds of the waves crashing upon the shore....

Toughest decision of the trip: Shall I choose the right or the left lounger today?
Paradise, I tell you!

This will be used for naps, brief snoozing, and late evenings!!

THE BEST PART OF IT ALL.....
I think I might have talked my sister and brother in law into going with us!
(This is pretty big, since it is EXTREMELY difficult to talk to her because she never answers the phone and rarely calls back....ha)

One can Dream

For the past month, this is all I can dream about.....

Dumb conscious gets in the way and tells me all the reasons why this will ONLY be a DREAM

1. Vinyl fence to put in on .82 acre lot

2. Starting a new business Jan 2010

3. Paint garage doors

4. Pay off debt

5. Get invisalign braces

AND SO MUCH MORE.....

OH WELL, WE CAN ALWAYS DREAM
..............AM I DREAMING, OR WILL I WAKE UP AND THIS BE TRUE FOR ME?

Addicted!!

Addiction: a state in which the body depends on a substance for normal functioning and may occur along with physical dependence.

So, this week I think my body has completely relied on....that's right.....corn tortillas! I have eaten them with enchiladas, tri-tip, turkey deli meat, chicken, cheese only, and now ham deli meat. My other little addiction is the veggie produce outdoor market that is conveniently placed on my way home from work! My enemy this week was the "avocados".....mmmm.....they are my favorite, but a large one by myself with a lot of chips is not so good for my "eating healthy, exercise routine".

PS - I think I might be having "sympathy cravings" for my pregnancy peeps out there!! (Because God above knows I am not)

Proud

Well I am proud of myself that I could actually follow instructions on how to change my blog from two columns to three! Thanks to 'The Cutest Blog on the Block'.

However, I am totally confused on how to CENTER the picture on my main header.....any suggestions???

Show Us Where You Live Friday

It's that time again, brought to you by Kelly's Korner.....This week the feature room is FINALLY the Master Bedroom! We love our Master Bedroom. I am normally very conservative in my decorating style and going for Full Gold was a big step for me. Although, it is just over 3 years old, my hubby will kill me if I change it right now because of $$$$! You know how it goes! I do like the richness, (but am sort of over the color)...Hubby if you are reading this, I mean, I still love it!!

Our room from the entry....
From the other side of the room.....

I loved this idea above the bed, so hubby did it for me!!
Lamps are from TJ Maxx...(what a steal)

Our first plasma....graduated to our bedroom! We tend to upgrade the great room and then roatate the old throughout rooms!
The coolest part is everything is wired to the closet (you can see it directly outside of our door), s no BluRay, Cable box, Subwoofer, or Receiver showing! My favorite because everything stays Nice & Tidy!!
Sconces are another bargain from "Real Deals"

Master Bathroom Entrance....

Posted these before, but here they are again!!

Happy Father's Day!!

Chris has been an amazing father since the day that I met him. He fell in love with my little Zachary and has never treated him like he was not his "own" biological child. I pulled an old photo from years ago when we ventured to Triple Play Indoor Water Park. Zach and Chris adore each other! I remember falling deeper in love with Chris the more bonded he became with Zach........AND it happened even more when we had our "own" child together this past year. Chris would do anything for his two boys! He desires to show them how to be good men, fair, successful, respectful to women, and most importantly to have their "own" personal walk with Our Heavenly Father!

We started the day with my dad and mom at Anthony's for brunch! It was quite delicious I might add! Thanks to my dad for being such a wonderful drive and motivator in my life!! Happy Father's Day to you!

All day, Chris would give Luke whatever he wanted!
For Example:
(Grocery Store)
Luke: Whining.....
Chris: "Oh, son do you want me to hold you and mommy can push the cart?"
(Proceeds to pick up Luke out of the shopping cart)
Luke: Smiling and Happy
Chris: "It's Daddy Day"
(Costco)
Luke: Whining....
Chris: "Son, do you want a treat?"
(Proceeds to purchase a Churro and strawberry smoothie)
(Feeds Luke some)
Luke: Smiling and Happy
Chris: "It's Daddy Day"
(Mowing the Lawn)
Chris: "Son, do you want to mow the lawn with daddy?"
Luke: Smiling and kicking his legs
Chris: "It's Daddy Day"
(This one was by far the cutest thing you ever saw)
Zach came home from his dad's house and we took pictures, but Chris is in his uniform and we don't post these.....
