Zach at the Hawks Game!!!

Zach went to the Eagles game with Chris last week. They had a blast, as always. Zach is borderline obsessed with football. He knows all of the players. Chris and him have a football passing game in the house usually every night.

Seahawks vs. Rams....

So I uploaded some pictures from our "other" camera and found some eventful pictures....Here, my dad and Chris went to the Seahawks game. My dad is sporting the Hawks (so he would not be ridiculed the entire game), but he is really a RAMS fan!!

First Try at Peas....Hmmmm, Do You Think He Likes Them

Uugh....This is horrible....

No, please Mommy, not another bite!!

What is this stuff and where is my rice cereal???

As you can see, Luke was not a big fan of peas. We have only attempted rice cereal with b-milk in it and he LOVES this. We were told start with the blan veggies before fruit or they will never go back to vegetables. Well, we started with peas....because what is more disgusting looking and smelling than peas (and Chris would not allow me to start with Spinach...he says it is a worthless vegetable). Anyway, after two bites, Chris wanted me to stop. This boy is only going to eat sweets if his father has anything to do with it. I mixed the peas with rice cereal and b-milk and he liked it a little better....well I would not say liked it, maybe instead tolerated it!!

Well, in a couple of days (after he shows no rashes, fevers, etc.....we will be trying carrots. I think he will like this more. Zach loved carrots and sweet potatoes so much he began turning orange in color....oops!!

We will keep you posted on the food obstacle course we are on....all I can say is at least he likes eating.

We go for a weight check on Friday....pray all is well.

Update: We went one day without Thickit because we ran out and boy did that make the difference. It was a much spittier day. Luke can go 6 ounces with Thickit, burp, and nothing come out! Obviously his little system is maturing because this never could have happened before. One more month and he should grow out of his reflux!!

Happy Halloween!!

Halloween was fun.....Luke did not get to trick or treat because he was a CRANKY boy who needed his sleep. His costume was super cute....so we dressed him up a day later and snapped some photos. We still had a blast with Zachary, the pirate (pictures below). The fun thing about Luke being a bat is that Zach was a bat for his first Halloween as well. Zach thought it was soooo cool that his little brother had a bat costume too!!

Is he not the cutest bat you have ever seen.....unless you saw Zach as a bat when he was a baby.....then it would be a tie for 1st place!!

It was a blessing because she saved us! We were able to take Zach trick or treating together because Grandma offered to watch Luke at home.

Overall, Halloween was a blast and my boys are still the best and cutest in the world!!

Concrete and Rain......Do Not Mix!!

Halloween started with Concrete on the brain. Chris has been wanting to pour a larger concrete patio for over a year now. He framed it in the heat of summer "2007". We kept putting it off due to wanting to spend money in other ways. The time finally came and we scheduled the concrete to arrive on Halloween. Chris kept saying that something was going to go wrong.....I thought what a poor attitude....he just worries about this stuff too much. He checked the forecast and it called for sunny and clear skies.

Chris woke up at 5:30 am because he could not take the waiting any longer. He was like a kid on Christmas morning. The sun began to rise and it was overcast.....but no rain. It did not take long as the concrete truck was pulling behind our house, and sprinkles began to fall from the sky.....

The boys are looking to the sky and pointing that the clouds are coming....Not to worry, Oscar phoned a friend who purchased a 20x40 tarp. But the worries soon came because when they opened it, the tarp was only 20x20...well our patio is over 20x30. You can see our problem. I was sent on a wild goose chase to find a tarp big enough while the guys put up a make shift idea to hang the tarps. By the time of my return, the patio was soaking wet with a large puddle on top!!

The boys worked long and hard....all I have to say is Thank God we had Paul because he is the jack of all trades and put together the best concoction of tarps, 2x4's, stakes, and bungee cords.....

At last, the tarps were secured.....

And poor Oscar and Keith spent a ton of time using their concrete skills to remove all of that water and still make the slab look great.

***Next year, we will have the slab stained and hopefully it will be a clear, sunny day....we are not even going to chance it this year***

Praying for baby Stellan for months people have done across the country and God blessed this family with a healthy son that was told he had a fatal condition and would be stillborn. This family had incredible strength and trust in God and he is born extremely healthy and a little over 24 hours, he is now with his mother in her labor room.

What a awe struck, amazing blessing!!

Luke is getting to be a big boy.....he attends "school" as we call it. It sounds much better than daycare. He had to go three times this week because Grandma Karan had to work on Monday. It was good for him.....or at least for me because he now sleeps through the screams and crying of other children. I hated the first two weeks and am coping much better now.

This morning at daycare, Luke was at his favorite "mirror" spot....(all the babies love it). He was laying on his back with his head propped on a boppy and REFUSED to put his head laid back. We were laughing that he will have the strongest abs at school because it looked like he was doing sit ups. I sat him up today with his hands in front of him and he held the position for 5 seconds or so. He is going to be one strong cookie.....like his dad!!

Anyway, he is still on thickit, now rice cereal with b-milk.....this equals one happier baby and on a schedule. HE IS SOOOO MUCH FUN!
